A Note from Author John Shors

I received an e-mail today from John Shors highlighting some exciting news that I'd like to share with you. You may remember when I first wrote of my love affair with his work. Without further ado, here it is:

Dear Friend [yes, we're very close...],
I hope this email finds you well!
First of all, I hope that 2012 has started out nicely for you.
Second, I know that you’re busy, so this email will be brief…
Every day I get asked when my first novel, Beneath a Marble Sky, will be available as an e-book. I’m happy to report that this event has finally arrived. As of today, Beneath a Marble Sky is available for all Kindle readers.  The novel will be available for other e-book platforms in the near future. Beneath a Marble Sky (a work of historical fiction based on the remarkable story behind the creation of the Taj Mahal) is an international bestseller, and is now in twenty languages. A mini-series remains a strong possibility.
I’m also asked quite a bit about my next book, which is shaping up to be another epic work of historical fiction. Temple of a Thousand Faces is a novel about Angkor Wat—a marvelous temple located in Cambodia and considered the largest religious structure on Earth. I’m extremely excited about Temple of a Thousand Faces, which will come out in February of 2013. Sorry for the wait, but it’s a 500+ page book, so I’m taking my time with it!
Thank you, again, for your wonderful support. In the past several years that support has allowed me to:
  • Help buy complete sets of sets of school books for 1,300 homeless Vietnamese children
  • Plant 500 trees in America
  • Aid hundreds of children in Thailand affected by recent flooding
I’ve been spending more time online at various book sites, and if you haven’t seen them, you might want to check out,, and These are all great sites for book lovers.
Thank you so very much for your time and thoughts.
My very best wishes to you!

Happy reading,
