The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, On Book Tour

Ree Drummond via HarperCollins
I've expressed my love publicly here before for The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond and her award-winning blog. She's on, what she calls, her "Griswold family" book signing tour. She's rolling through the country promoting her second cookbook that was released March 13th.

Although she says on her blog that her first cookbook The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes From an Accidental Country Girl will always be her first love, her second one The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food from My Frontier, is her new best friend. She says it's laid out the same but it's bigger with more pages and more recipes and contains larger, crisper photos. She also includes two or three variations at the end of each recipe.

She hasn't been a New York Times bestselling author of only cookbooks. Her memoir of her courtship and marriage to her cowboy husband, The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels - a Love Story made it to the bestseller list as well. She's also written a children's book, Charlie the Ranch Dog which was illustrated by Diane deGroat. They've teamed up together for another children's book, Charlie and the Christmas Kitty which is slated for release on September 25, 2012.

Here are her books in order of publication:

Ree has remaining stops scheduled in IN, CO, OK, AL, KS, TX, WA, CA, AZ, NM, and VA. She wrote on her website, "Plenty of copies of the new book will be available at each location! Also feel free to bring new books, old books, tattered books, or books stained with gravy. I'd love to see ya."

Here's the link to her blog page with the cities and details of her tour. Her publisher's site has the details for the stop in VA on May 4th.

If you get a chance to meet her, I'd love to hear about it!

Talk to you soon and happy reading,
Angela
