Children's book bloggers, Alex, over at The Children's War and Barbara, over at March House Books have both nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award. Two nominations in one week! And I am ever grateful. It makes my heart all warm and fuzzy to know that people have noticed, and perhaps like, the fruits of my labor here on the blog.
I must sincerely apologize for my delay in acknowledging and writing this post. I pray that the ladies don't change their minds about bestowing this honor on me.
Now for the fun part that comes with this honor. I get to tell you seven random things about me...
1. Yep. Never gonna be a morning person. My Mom says that even as a baby I was a night-owl.
2. I really DO think they sprinkle heroin, or some other extremely addictive substance on chips. I absolutely love them. Hubby says I get a spring in my step when I get to the chip aisle in the store. Ok, I must be honest, he calls it a "chip dance."
3. Depending on how big my hair is, I'm between 5' 3" and 5' 4". Hubby is a bit over 6'...the teasing commences as he shares the bathroom mirror with me. My head, in no way, obstructs his view.
4. I used to run. When I was eight.
5. Pardon my language, but it's true.
6. Who am I kidding? That's my summer schedule. See you next spring "yoga."
7. Yep. That about sums it up for me. I love to garden. My fingernails look terrible all summer long, but I don't mind one bit. I was able to can quite a lot from my garden this year, and it felt terrific to know that we will have flavorful vegetables that I painstakingly nursed through the drought this summer, to eat this winter.
Now to nominate 15 other blogs to keep the Lovely Blog Award love flowing throughout the blogosphere. Man, only 15. There are so many blogs that I love. Here are my choices. In no particular order :)

Again, a wholehearted "thank you" from the bottom of my heart to Alex and Barbara. You guys are the greatest!

Leave a link to yours and your fave in the comments so we can all check them out and find new terrific blogs to follow. Thank you in advance for sharing :)
Happy reading and talk to you soon,

Wow thanks so much Angela! I hope I can find the time to do my post soon!
ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome, Jess. You so deserve it. Love your blog :)
DeleteThanks so much for nominating me! :) And #4 made me laugh so much - I'm the same!
ReplyDeleteThat great. It's nice to know I'm not the only non-runner :) You're so welcome, Vicky.
DeleteThanks for the award! I'm not sure I'll get to passing it on. I've been having a major blogging reading slump.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome Jenny. We all have those reading slumps.
DeleteThank you so much for nominating me, Angela! I'm super excited about it. I totaly agree with you on 2. I'm also addicted to chips. And cookies. And all things delicious ;) xx
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, Paula. I loved reading your awards post.
DeleteI loved all your replies - especially the one about the 'honey-do' list! I'm with you on that one - do it myself or it won't get done! Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog earlier today! Barbara
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbara. Yes, the honey-do list can be maddening. Visiting your blog is my pleasure and always quite a treat.
DeleteCongrats on the award/s. I am right there with you when it comes to "never gonna be a morning person". I am definitely a night owl- no doubt! I agree with all of your answers- except the gardening. I can't keep plants alive. My co-author, Jess, loves to garden and does enough for both of us. Looking forward to checking out the blogs you nominated. I follow some of them- but some are new.
ReplyDeleteA blog I love: http://www.carryusoffbooks.com/blog.html

ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you and your family. I hope all is well.
DeleteThank you thank you thank you :D

DeleteSo I'm a little slow on the response, the message has been sitting in my inbox buried under a bunch of other emails >.<
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I don't have time to make a post, but I just wanted to stop by and say thanks so much for the mention! That was really thoughtful!
I'm short too, and #4 is exactly like me haha :)
