Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Authors I'd Like to See on a Reality Show

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
I had to enlist the help of the hubby and Baby Girl on this one. It was a blast!

1. I think it would be fun to watch the perfectly coiffed Jackie Collins on Dirty Jobs.

2. Hubby figured Survivor would be a breeze for Mark Twain.

3. He also thought it would be fantastic to see Stephen King on Fear Factor. I wonder if anything DOES scare him?

4. I'd like to see Janet Evanovich on Dog the Bounty Hunter. I don't how much research she's done on bounty hunting, but I still think it would be pretty fun to watch.

5. Suzanne Collins on Survivor.

6. JK Rowling on The Apprentice. Who knew writing children's books would garner almost as much as real estate? According to Forbes richest celebrities 2012, Donald Trump comes in at $2.9 billion and JK comes in just under him at $1 billion. And these figures came out before the final launch of Pottermore and the availability of Harry Potter ebooks. I'm sure the gap will narrow.

7. Truman Capote could have used some Dr. Phil.

8. I suggested Stephanie Meyer on the Dog Whisperer. Baby Girl thought more along the lines of America's Next Top Model for her.

9. Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters on The Bachelor. Which one of the ladies would the Hottie of the season choose?

10. Finally, John Steinbeck on The Kardashians. The guy wrote about living through the Great Depression. I'm pretty sure he'd be pretty flabbergasted witnessing the gobs of money that goes through that family's hands.

There's my list. I'd love to hear who you're thinking for what show.

Talk to you soon.
Happy reading,
Angela

  3. yes I wonder the same thing about Stephen King. He has to be afraid of something. I was laughing so hard about John Steinback, poor thing would probably be stunned to death by them. Thanks for visiting my blog. Liz

  7. He he he. This. Is. Brilliant! My favourite one is Stephen King on Fear Factor as he says in a lot of his non-fiction that he's scared of everything and that's why he writes good scary stories!

  17. I love how you not only mentioned the specific authors, but also the specific tv show they would fit in best. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the thought of Jane Austen or the Bronte Sisters on The Bachelor, some of those girls are conniving and just down right evil! I wonder what their strategy would be to win the guy. Thanks for sharing your list!

  20. Such a great list! I struggled with this topic so I changed to the freebie but I like your choices. Obviously Suzanne Collins on survivor is an obvious choice but I really like JK Rowling on The Apprentice and Jane Austen and the Bronte Sisters on the Bachelor - that would make an awesome movie I think!

  22. Good job on this week's TTT! I didn't even try to do the reality show list. But I absolutely love the idea of Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters on The Bachelor. Though if it could have been book characters, I think the Bennett sisters would be quite interesting too. (Not that I've ever seen The Bachelor in order to make a really good informed opinion.) :-)
Here's my TTT list, I went back to a post I missed on books I'd like to see made into movies.

  29. Even though I have no idea about any of these shoes (yes, I am one of those weirdos that doesn't watch tv) - from what I know of them, your picks are awesome! I think Jane Austen would either win or get kicked off immediately for her intelligence and snark - it all depends on what the Bachelor is looking for!
