More On Rowling's Casual Vacancy

In case you weren't one of the lucky 1,100 few who were able to score tickets to JK Rowling's one US stop on her Casual Vacancy tour, here's the video of her interview with Ann Patchett at New York's Lincoln Center.


Rowling's first novel for adults has been met with mixed reviews. But hopefully the story will translate well for the small screen. BBC One has commissioned rights to develop a TV series based on The Casual Vacancy. Set to air in 2014, length and number of episodes is still to be determined.

JK Rowling Novel Details Released

Details of JK Rowling's new (and first) novel for adults have been released. It will be called The Casual Vacancy and is slated for release on September 27, 2012.

Here's the synopsis from Amazon:

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pottermore to Finally Launch in April

 J.K. Rowling announced last June that Pottermore was slated to be available to the public in October. But in its beta version that was open to only a million users, they received valuable feedback alerting them to the fact that the original platform they planned to use just wouldn't handle the anticipated volume of users. So they made the decision to move Pottermore to a completely different platform set up. You can read all the details here.
