Pass the Gravy, Please

I've written before that I read The Pioneer Woman's blog daily (along with Dooce). But now I have yet another one to read.
I've been sucked into the world of the Homesick Texan, a blog I discovered Sunday. I seriously spent a whole movie reading it. What is that, an hour and a half? 
Author Lisa Fain writes from her one bedroom apartment in New York City. Transplanted from, you guessed it, Texas, for a job in New York, she began her blog in 2005. Her recipes sound divine, and I love her wit and sense of humor. It's no surprise to me that she has a cookbook due out in September (the 13th, to be exact).

When Lisa Fain, a seventh-generation Texan, moved to New York City, she missed the big sky, the bluebonnets in spring, Friday night football, and her family's farm. But most of all, she missed the foods she'd grown up with.
