More Bookish Board Games

While Baby Girl and I were browsing around Barnes and Noble last week, I happened to see these literary-themed board games, so naturally I had to snap photos so that I could share them with you. I think the dear daughter of mine threatened to take my phone away a time or two for taking pictures. With the sound on....It happens.

You might remember that I wrote a post on bookish board games already, but I promise these are different ones.

Book Lovers Jenga

Book Lovers Jenga
Bring family and friends together for a literary round of Jenga. Players remove and stack custom blocks which feature thought provoking book-related questions. As the tower builds, so does the dialogue! If you are the last player to stack a block without making the tower fall, you win! Game comes complete with 54 hard wood Jenga blocks, each gold foil stamped with a book-related question and the Jenga logo. The rules are printed on the full color loading tray. It’s classic Jenga with a book lover’s twist! For 1 or more players.

For ages 6 and up.

Book Lovers Memory

Book Lover's Memory (I couldn't find this game on the Barnes and Noble website, so I've linked to Amazon)
A Novel Twist on Memory! The Book Lovers Classics Edition of Memory Challenge allows players to enjoy the classics and create their own personal library while playing the world’s most popular matching game. Literary picture cards include a superior collection of the classics featuring beautiful illustrations, book covers, literary quotes and portraits of your favorite authors. Players have the opportunity to choose a literary role such as Author, Publisher, Illustrator or Editor and gain extra points for matches found within their profession. All new Glossary cards create new strategy and more fun and give the classic Memory game play a fresh interactive twist.
And now for the game I'm most excited about....

Book Lovers Edition Scrabble

Book Lovers Scrabble

Isn't this the GREATEST? Scrabble and books. It doesn't get any better!

"Good friends, good books….this is the ideal life." - Mark Twain

The Book Lovers Edition of Scrabble includes classic Scrabble fun with a novel twist allowing players to earn bonus points for literary words. All new Plot Twist cards add suspense and drama as players enhance their score with directives for all new custom game play.

Game comes complete with a beautifully decorated game board, rich burgundy tiles with gold lettering, 25 Plot Twist cards and a mini book bag to store tiles.

For ages 8 and up.

For 2 - 4 players
That's all I have for now. Thanks so much for the visit.
Talk to you soon,
Angela

  1. Oh my gosh, LOVE this! I am a total board game fiend actually, so a board game that mixes my love of games with my love of books? Perfect!

I've played a few board games based off of books: JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and Terry Prachett's Ankh-Morpork ... those were ok, but not great. Definitely not as great as the books. But these look awesome!

    New follower BTW!

  4. How fun! I love board games. I would never be able to find anyone to play literary scrabble with though... :( (or maybe it's just that no one wants to play with me because I tend to win!)
