12th Annual Library of Congress National Book Festival

The 12th annual Library of Congress National Book Festival will run for two days on September 22-23 on the National Mall. The festival will run from 10 am to 5:30 on Saturday the 22nd, and from noon until 5:30 on Sunday the 23rd.

First Lady Laura Bush first hosted the festival when it was established in 2001 and continued to host through 2008. The honorary co-chairs since, have been President and Mrs. Obama.

This year’s festival will feature more than 100 amazing authors, poets and illustrators in several pavilions, including two Sunday-only pavilions: Science Fiction, Fantasy and Graphic Novels and Special Presentations. Barnes and Noble is the official bookseller for this year’s festival. Visit the book sales pavilion located on the festival grounds to purchase selected books by the 2012 Festival authors to get them signed.

Each year, an artist is commissioned to design a poster for the festival. Each of the following is available for download.
