The agent summary describes the home as:

Scott Fitzgerald lived here, convenient to all city amenities. Well maintained, move in condition.

 Check out this library...

Fitzgerald rented the house while Zelda was being hospitalized for mental illness at nearby Henry Phipps Clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital. F. Scott and his daughter, Scottie lived there full time and Zelda would stay with them on the weekends with her nurse.

The home has been most recently occupied by Fitzgerald enthusiast, Dr. James R. Duke, who purchased the home in 1973 but died in October of last year.

This home is listed at $450,000 which is comparable to the other homes in the area.

Have a great weekend,
Angela

  2. Allison @ The Book Wheel is related to him. I told her she needs to buy this house. So expect it to be off the market as soon as she can round up the $400,000+

  3. I wish I could live in Baltimore (nothing wrong with Baltimore, but I work in NYC and the commute is too long), $450.000 is mighty cheap sounding to this New Yorker and it's good looking to boot.

    1. I would love to just tour the house. Baltimore is much too far from Wisconsin for me to live there :)

  4. The Library is awesome! This week my daughter and I went to the Poe Museum in Richmond, VA. It wasn't a house he lived in, but had all the memorabilia: a chair of his, his mantle, his socks, first editions of his stories and poems, a beautiful marble and bronze sculpture in his honor, etc. The garden outside was beautiful, and modeled after a poem. Sigh...such literary joy.
